Diamonds with a certificate of origin

Complete transparency from mining to the finished piece of jewelry

Every diamond tells a story

Every diamond has its own story; let it blend with yours and write the next chapter together.

Thanks to Tracr diamonds, this is now possible. At Fischer, we are the first wedding ring manufacturer in Germany to use this innovative technology. This allows you to seamlessly track diamonds starting at 0.3 carats—from the mine to the finished piece of jewelry—and discover their story step by step using our configurator.

This gives you complete transparency regarding origin and processing—digitally, securely, and traceably. It gives you the confidence to make an informed and responsible decision.

"It's important to us that couples feel good about wearing their rings. By providing fully transparent tracking from mining to purchase, we ensure that all the information is available so they can make an informed decision."

How does that work?

Using blockchain technology, we offer you the ability to fully track the journey of every diamond.

A digital twin with a unique ID is created for each stone. This digital twin contains all information regarding the stone’s origin, cut, and ownership history. This way, every stage of the stone’s journey is permanently recorded, much like in a logbook, and can be verified at any time.

See the journey of your diamond

Every Tracr diamond starts with a clear profile: shape, carat weight, color, clarity, and cut. These four characteristics—the 4Cs—define the character of each stone. In addition, each stone has a unique Tracr ID and the corresponding GIA reference number.

Carat: The Weight

Carat is the unit of measurement for a diamond's weight; 1 carat equals 0.2 grams. Larger stones are rarer and therefore more valuable, but carat weight alone does not determine a diamond's beauty.

Color: The color

The color scale ranges from D (completely colorless) to Z (slightly yellowish). The more colorless the stone, the rarer and more valuable it is. Even the slightest differences can only be detected under laboratory conditions.

Clarity: Purity

Clarity describes how free a diamond is from natural inclusions—ranging from FL (flawless) to I (inclusions visible to the naked eye). These tiny features are each stone’s unique fingerprint.

Cut: The Cut

The cut determines how a diamond captures and reflects light, which is what gives it its famous sparkle. Of all the 4Cs, the cut has the greatest impact on the diamond’s visual appearance.

Deep beneath the Earth's surface, under extreme pressure and at extremely high temperatures, diamonds form from carbon over billions of years. Tracr records where a stone was discovered and traces its history.

The rough diamond

Before a diamond sparkles, it is a rough crystal, shaped by pressure, time, and heat. On Tracr, you can see the rough diamond in its original state: with its initial weight, its distinctive appearance, and confirmation that it has been verified as a natural stone. This is how every diamond story begins—where it truly starts, with the uncut original.

Country of origin

Every Tracr diamond visibly bears its country of origin in its history. You’ll learn in which country the stone was discovered and under what standards it was mined: in accordance with the OECD’s due diligence guidelines and in full compliance with the Kimberley Process, which has prevented the trade in conflict diamonds since 2003. Here, origin isn’t just a label—it’s documented proof.

Through careful, precise craftsmanship, an unremarkable rough diamond is transformed into a sparkling gemstone. Each stage requires experience, technology, and a keen eye—and every step is documented on the Tracr platform.

01 Planning
Each stone is analyzed for its unique characteristics to determine the best way to cut it.
02 The Split Diamond
After being cut, the rough diamond undergoes several polishing steps that bring it closer to its final form.
04 Polish
Once the polishing stage is reached, experienced craftsmen put the finishing touches on the diamond’s facets. In a process called brillianti, the stone’s fire, brilliance, and sparkle are brought to their fullest potential.
03 Cut
The stone is cut with the utmost precision and shaped into its final form.

Every diamond is examined by a recognized gemological laboratory and comes with a detailed report covering all 4Cs, proportions, polish, and symmetry. Tracr diamonds are certified by the GIA, one of the most renowned institutes in the world.

Diamonds certified by GIA

A ring is often passed down through generations. With a Tracr diamond, you’re not just passing on a stone—you’re also passing on the story of its origins: the country where it was discovered, the standards under which it was mined, and the impact it has had on its region of origin. In this way, a beautiful piece of jewelry becomes a promise that you can pass on with a clear conscience.

Conflict-free

Sourced in accordance with the Kimberley Process, which has prevented the trade in conflict diamonds since 2003.

Mined responsibly

In accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Supply Chains.

Positive impact on the local community

Contributions to education, infrastructure, and healthcare in the regions of origin.
